Uses of coconut Oil (Beauty)

Hello my people,

We know coconut oil is one of the most popular natural oils at the moment. It's naturally antibacterial and antifungal, there are a lot of benefits of coconut oil. It is a great multitasking organic oil… it is used for cooking and most of us use it in our hair care and skin care routines…what’s not to love about this oil?

Benefits of Coconut oil
In this post, I am going to be sharing some different uses of coconut oil for beauty.
For shaving:
Are you all out of shaving cream? Well, don’t bother replacing it. Coconut oil is a good (if not better) alternative for your expensive, chemical filled shaving cream. It has antibacterial properties so one of the benefits of coconut oil for shaving your under arms and legs is that it will protect against razor burn and leave you feeling moisturized and soft.

As a deep-conditioner:
There's a reason many conditioners contain coconut oil, it's a very good moisturizer and it can penetrate hair better than other oils. Coconut oil can also be used (warm) as a pre-poo treatment for your hair before washing, it is also a good scalp oil. Massaging it into your scalp if you have dry scalp minimizes scales.

As a Massage Oil:
Don’t waste your money on those expensive massage creams and oils. Coconut oil makes a good massage oil. All you have to do is heat up some coconut oil in the microwave and add a few drops of an essential oil, like lavender or peppermint (or you can use it alone) for a soothing massage mix.

As a Night Cream:
I don’t do this though. I use oils all over my body except my face because oil on my face breaks me out like no man’s business but if you don’t have that problem, this is for you. One of the main benefits of coconut oil is that it is very moisturizing. So applying coconut oil at night will help you reap its maximum moisturizing benefits. It is also an excellent substitute for eye cream, so skip out on spending all that money on expensive eye creams. Just rub a bit coconut oil in between fingers to warm it up before patting it underneath your eyes.

N.B: it is important to note that for beauty purposes, using organic, virgin coconut oil is best.
