Hello friends, I hope everyone is having a good week so far
and I also hope you had a good weekend. In my last post I mentioned that a
wedding fair was going to be held in Enugu (click here if you missed it). On
Sunday, the wedding show runway was held and before the event started, I had
the pleasure of meeting and working with Beverly Osu from Big Brother Africa
the Chase on her look to the event. She was super nice, easy going and I had
such a good time working with her.
So onto the topic of the day….Today I’ll share with you the 8 makeup brushes I cannot do without on a job. I have dozens and dozens of makeup brushes
but without these brushes, its going to be a challenge to get any work done.
- THE POWDER BRUSH
This is a big fluffy brush used to apply powder all over
your face to set the makeup. Right now, I use the Elf kabuki brush
- THE BLUSH BRUSH
This is a medium sized brush that is not too large used to
sweep some blush on the cheeks for some flush of colour after all makeup has
been applied. This brush can be used to apply both cream and powder foundations.
Right now, I use the Real Techniques blush brush.
- THE FOUNDATION BRUSH
This is a medium sized makeup brush that is used to apply liquid, cream and powder foundations to the face. Using a foundation brush to apply foundation helps to give the face a more seamless and finished look. There are different kinds and shapes of foundation brushes, right now I use the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. Click here for my post on proper foundation appication
- THE BLENDING BRUSH
This has got to be my favorite brush! This brush is perfect
for applying eye colour to the crease and blending out harsh eye shadow lines. You
can’t have perfectly applied eye shadow without a blending brush. Right now, I
use the Royal & Langnickel c430 and the Sigma blending brush.
- THE SPOOLIE
I can’t do eyebrows without my spoolie, this is a very
essential tool for brows. The spoolie is used to brush eyebrows and it also
helps to remove excess products from the brows and soften the brow.
- THE LINER BRUSH
This is a thin, pointy brush that I use for precise eye
lining. I also like that with this brush, I can control how thin or thick I
want my lines to be. It is my go-to brush for eye lining.
- THE CONTOUR BRUSH
This is an angled brush used to apply darker shades under
the cheekbones, temples, sides of the nose to give a more chiseled look to the
face.
- THE SHADER BRUSH
This brush is flat and has shorter bristles, it is used to
apply eye shadow on the eyelids to give a smooth and even application to eye
colour.
Let me know what your faourite makeup brushes are in the comment section below. I hope you enjoyed the post, enjoy the rest of your week and thank you for stopping by, xoxo.
