Hey guys, how is everyone doing today? I hope you enjoyed
your Independence Day holiday. Nigeria marked her 55Th year of
independence yesterday. Woop! Woop!! I am proud to be Nigerian even with all
the ups and downs and although we still have a long way to go, with God by our
side, we’ll surely get there. So stay happy, be grateful because as long as
there’s life, there’s always hope. I uploaded a fast paced makeup tutorial
inspired by Independence Day on both my Facebook (click here to like) and
Instagram (click here to follow) pages so please check it out and I would like
to hear your thoughts on it.
In my last post about how to properly clean you makeup
brushes and sponges, click here if you missed it. I said I would review the brush
egg that I use for washing my brushes. So here it is…
I was on the hunt for something more effective than my palm
to clean my brushes with. Initially, I was going to get the sigma spa brush
cleaning glove until I came across the brush egg online and I became more
interested in it instead. So, at the Enugu Makeup Fair (click here if you
missed my post on it) I went over to the booth of Yemisi, the owner and CEO of Beauty
Essentials by Nsure to gist for a bit and as I was laughing my sorrows away, my
eyes caught the brush egg on her table and I immediately grabbed it and
squealed in delight, Yemisi obviously took advantage of my delight and had me
buy a few more things from her stand (side eye), lol. I’ll be doing another
review on something else I got from her some other time (so don’t go too far).
TOOL DESCRIPTION
It is an egg shaped silicone tool, it has ridges and small
silicone bristles on one side for deep cleaning makeup brushes, it has a hole
where you can slip two fingers or your thumb into to hold in place while you
wash your brushes.
HOW TO USE
MY THOUGHTS
I really like this tool guys. Washing my makeup brushes used
to be the worst part of what I do just because of how long it used to take to
get them washed by swirling on my palm but now with the brush egg, my brushes
are washed in half the time, it is not harsh, it’s inexpensive, you don’t need
to apply a lot of pressure to wash your brushes and makeup products are washed
off quicker and thoroughly from my brushes. My only problem with this tool would
be its size, I wish it were a bit bigger just because I have a couple of bigger
brushes with fuller bristles but other than that, it’s a good tool to have.
WOULD I RECOMMEND IT?
Is there really any doubt here? I would totally recommend
this tool for makeup brush cleaning.
PRICE
It was at a fair, so I got it at a discounted price of N500
